Wade Edwards
Wade Edwards fell in love with sailing at a young age. His early sailing experiences led him to become a sailing instructor at Tulane University in the late 1970's, where he also raced on their top ranked team. Wade went on to become a well-known competitor on the racing circuits in the Midwest and the East.
Wade has a long record of championship-level racing success in a variety of classes, including Express 27s, Snipes, Solings and Etchells. He also has extensive offshore racing experience and enjoys cruising whenever possible. In addition to being a long-time Center member, his summer activities have included serving as Director of Sailing at a non-profit summer program in Maine.
Wade's lifelong dedication to the education and enjoyment of sailing is readily apparent when you meet him - and he applies that dedication every day to expanding the Center's reputation as a national leader in the sailing industry.
