Learn To Sail - $825.00
This is the most thorough and effective beginner's course in New England. Whether you're a complete beginner or a sometime sailor, this course will teach you to sail safely and confidently - guaranteed!
Advanced - $825.00
Increase your confidence with advanced instruction in close quarters maneuvering under sail and power, tuning, spinnaker handling, anchoring, navigation, and more.
Night Sailing - $310.00
Classroom session covers the navigation required for night sailing followed by an evening sail for hands-on practice dead reckoning, position finding, interpreting running lights and applying the rules of the road.
Cruising Course - $1,130.00
Classroom session(s) covers mechanical and electrical systems of a full-size cruising boat, the navigation required for day and night sailing in coastal waters, and docking under power. The full weekend sail teaches all the fundamental skills needed to charter and cruise successfully, including entering unfamiliar harbors, anchoring, sail handling, dinghy use and more.
Coastal Passage Making - $1,375.00
Learn the skills required for making longer passages in coastal waters. This 5-day live aboard course teaches advanced navigation and seamanship and covers GPS, diesel engine trouble-shooting, day and night watches, nighttime landfalls and heavy weather skills. Throughout, we encourage high levels of responsibility and decision-making.
Racing - $875.00
For sailors with little or no racing experience, this course will teach you the racing rules, boat handling, spinnaker skills and boat speed needed to be competitive.
Advanced Racing - $875.00
For racers who want to move up in the fleet. Refine your skills in the boat and learn starting techniques, tactics and strategy against our 20-boat Tuesday evening Soling fleet.
Coastal Navigation - $365.00
Classroom sessions cover all the important navigational skills such as chart reading and piloting, dead reckoning, position finding, course plotting in the presence of currents and more. This six week, 12-hour course is offered in January and March.
Elementary Navigation - $175.00
This 6-hour course of class and on-the-water instruction will teach you to navigate safely among the Boston Harbor islands.
Refresher - $495.00
Review some of the skills you may have forgotten since the last time you sailed. This course consists of a 2-hour navigation class plus 3 on-the-water sessions which cover a full range of boat handling skills.

Offshore Passage Making - $1,925.00
Experience the intensity and challenge of this six day course leaving from Boston and sailing to Bar Harbor, Maine, and then back to Boston. Students will build upon existing cruising skills by learning techniques required to skipper a medium-length offshore passage.
Caribbean Courses - $1,950.00
Spend a week in the tropics and learn to cruise in the most desirable of chartering areas. The BSC offers Cruising and Coastal Passage Making out of St.Thomas every winter.
